Join us in building sustainable communities through the use of climate-smart agricultural practices, empowering farmers, and restoring the earth—one earthworm at a time.
Kibmist Enterprises Limited was born from a simple belief: that nature holds the answers to our most pressing challenges. In Kenya's Lake Victoria Region, we're turning market waste—cabbage leaves, banana peels, avocado, mango, oranges, and pumpkins—into nutrient-rich organic vermiliquid fertilizer.
But we're more than just organic fertilizer producers. We're educators, community builders, and environmental stewards. We work alongside farmers, mostly women and youths, increasing food security and offering employment, thereby creating Sustainable Livelihoods.

Farmers Empowered
Nature's recyclers are transforming Kenya's agricultural landscape
Produced annually from market waste
Daily from landfills to worm beds
Average crop improvement for farmers
Every day, we collect organic waste from local markets—cabbage leaves, banana peels, corn cobs, fruit scraps. What others see as garbage, we see as gold.
Our earthworms work tirelessly, transforming this waste into premium vermicompost that revitalizes degraded soils, increases water retention, and eliminates the need for harmful chemical fertilizers. It's circular economy in action.
100% organic, safe for communities and ecosystems
Reducing methane from landfills, sequestering carbon in soil
Creating jobs and income for local women and youth
Our work spans five interconnected pillars, all rooted in sustainable agriculture and community empowerment
Connecting farmers with sustainable practices, modern techniques, and resources that increase yields while protecting the environment.
Hands-on workshops and on-farm training programs on good agricultural practices, composting, post-harvest handling, and entrepreneurship to farmers and community groups.
Restoring degraded lands through soil conservation, erosion control through vertiver technology, and regenerative agriculture practices.
Promoting food security and nutrition through kitchen gardens, diverse crops, and nutrition education programs.
Empowering women, youths, and people living with disabilities through agricultural training, employment, leadership development, and access to resources and markets.
Real people, real communities, real change across Kenya's Lake Victoria Region
300% yield increase
After attending our training, Grace transformed her half-acre plot into a thriving organic farm using vermicompost. She now supplies three local markets and trains other women in her community.
600 farmers empowered
Negotiating for better prices with maize off-takers on behalf of their cooperative members, local maize farmers have had their collective income soaring, improving livelihoods across the community.
80 hectares restored
Working with fishing communities transitioning to agriculture, we helped restore eroded lakeside land. Farmers now grow organic vegetables while protecting the lake ecosystem.
We're addressing climate change issues facing Kenya and the world
We don't just teach farming—we build movements. By training farmers, especially women and youths, we create self-sustaining communities that lift each other up.
Healthy soil is the foundation of food security and climate resilience. Our vermicompost restores depleted soils, sequesters carbon, and helps farmers adapt to changing weather patterns, and increase in yields.
By centering women and youth in our programs, we're not just creating economic opportunity—we're shifting power dynamics and building more equitable communities.
From diverting waste from landfills to protecting lake ecosystems, our work demonstrates that economic development and environmental protection go hand in hand.

Whether you're a farmer, donor, partner, or simply someone who cares about the future—there's a place for you in this work.
